ABOUT

Vanessa has been working with individuals, couples and families in a range of school, government and community settings for more than 20 years. More recently, Vanessa’s counselling work has focused on childhood trauma, the impact of abuse and neglect, the impact of addiction on families, anxiety, and families affected by conflict, violence and separation.

Vanessa believes in working with the strengths of a client, couple or family, and uses an approach where issues are explored and addressed by considering the broader family context and history.

Alongside her colleague Nick Ludgate, Vanessa also offers couples counselling with two therapists. This method of counselling ensures both clients have access to a dedicated therapist, and then come together to discuss their goals. This way of working supports couples to improve their relationships and make change efficiently.
